You will leave directly from our White Iron Lake base docks (or from Crane Lake, MN) and fly to Lac La Croix or Beaverhouse Lake in Quetico Park, Ontario. Upon receiving your Park Permit and fishing licenses, Beaverhouse parties paddle from the Ranger Station.  La Croix parties then boat to their Entry Point (Maligne River, McAree Lake, or Bottle Rapids).

Because of the logistical considerations, rates must be based on a 2 person minimum and pre-positioned ultra-lightweight aluminum canoes (64#). It is our practice with Gold Package Parties, however, to use 54# Dagger Passage or canoes whenever possible (100% during 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005 seasons - one miss in 2002 and 2004). A portion of these rates are subject to Ontario (PST) and Canadian (GST) sales taxes and fees. Persons flying into the United States by air may be subject to certain additional fees.

At the end of your trip, Paddle-Out parties return to a U.S.-side Boundary Waters pick-up point, and are picked up by van (included in package rate). Due to the canoe travel distances between the border and a van pick-up location, we highly recommend spending the last evening on the U.S. side. This requires a Boundary Waters travel permit and associated camping fees. A Minnesota fishing license would also be required for those who want to fish the last day of the trip.
 

This is, by far, our more popular fly-in option. The remote experience afforded by flying-in is maximized by spending less time with mandatory paddling. At the end of your trip, Fly-Out parties are picked-up and flown directly back to North Country's docks on White Iron Lake, or if precluded by weather, returned to Crane Lake, MN for a van trip to our base. There is no need for an additional US-side permit or a Minnesota fishing license.
 

OFF PEAK PERIODS

ADULT EARLY & LATE SEASON: (Fewer people, fewer bugs, and cooler water for fishing).
        Deduct $50 for trips of 5 or 6 days in length.
        Deduct $75 for trips of 7 or 8 days in length.
        Deduct $100 for trips of 9 days or more.
OR
ADULT MID-WEEK START: (Trips that begin on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday).
        Deduct $50 for trips of 5 or 6 days in length.
        Deduct $75 for trips of 7 or 8 days in length.
        Deduct $100 for trips of 9 days or more.

ADULT LARGE GROUP:
        Deduct $50 from these rates with a group of 4 ($100 if using fly-out option).
        Deduct $100 from these rates with a group of 6,7,or 8 ($150 if using fly-out option).
       
YOUTH RATE:  For youth 17 and under (Up thru 21 with current high school/ college ID Card)
        Deduct $50 for trips of 5 or 6 days in length.
        Deduct $75 for trips of 7 or 8 days in length.
        Deduct $100 for trips of 9 days or more.

MULTIPLE ADULT DISCOUNTS:
        While multiple discounts apply, the maximum deduction for each adult is $150.
